HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN IN BUSINESS AND WHERE? Gail and I have been friends since the beginning of time but in business together for 4 years as The Embellishers. However, I was an embellisher - singular for many years before we partnered together.
WHAT IS SOME OF YOUR BEST ADVICE YOU WOULD GIVE A FRIEND WHO WAS GOING TO BE MARRIED ON THE OUTER BANKS? Do your homework and hire professional vendors. And most important - Hire an event day coordinator, who will take the plans that the bride has made, so she can enjoy a stress-free wedding day.
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE PART OF THE JOB? Brenda says...Flowers Flowers Flowers!-weather creating a unique look or embellishing the request to the bridal party-I get a charge of energy just thinking of all the possibilities! Gail says... And if Brenda is happy when the flowers are delivered to us from our distributor, then I'm happy. My least favorite part of the job is when the flowers are delivered and Brenda is not happy!
WHERE IS YOUR FAVORITE LOCATION ON THE OUTER BANKS? Brenda, "the shore line in Rodanthe --quiet and untouched except for the surfers !" Gail, " I love the soundside, where old living oaks give wonderful shade."
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE HOBBIES OR PASSIONS BEYOND YOUR WORK? Brenda, Gardening-beach combing-reading-coffee with the girls and playing with my dogs. Gail, Love my family - husband, 3 grown children who are all married. I now have 2 granddaughters, whom I just adore. My husband and I think we have far more fun with them than we did our own children!
What is your favorite meal? Brenda, I'm a southern gal - fried chicken collards greenbeans cooked to death, pie and sweet tea-not very sophisticated but its me --o yea can't live without a cheeseburger at least once a week! Gail, Love Mexican food, so it would have to be a combo platter, with nachos, enchiladas, chili rejenos, chimichangas, burritos, quesadilas, refried beans with rice, and top it off with flan! Ole!

From rehearsal dinner to the reception, we provide décor that creates a lasting and memorable impression. As with flowers, décor allows us to put our creativity to work in designing a visual feast for your guests. We love it all when it comes to décor themes! So whether you want something classical, seaside beachy, fun or elegant, we can make it happen.
Our collection of décor accessories includes custom-designed arbors and chuppahs, urns, bamboo poles, paper lanterns, ribbon, lace, starfish and twinkle lights. We have a great selection of glassware, baubles, beach glass and shells to complement your theme.
On the beach or in the church, under a tent or in a five-star restaurant, whether you want your décor to pop or be tastefully understated, we can make it happen.
EVENT DAY COORDINATION
This service is designed for couples that are planning the entire wedding by themselves and want some help managing the logistics of the rehearsal and wedding day. We take over the stress and allow you to relax and enjoy your day. The bride has confirmed details and commitments with vendors, and all other related duties. We, as consultants, will carry out the duties based upon the brides planning and preparations. When dealing with vendors, the consultant is only as good as the information the bride provides.
