What sets you apart? We are both two-time "Best of Knot Pick" award winning photographers and videographers for 2008 & 2009. We believe your final products are derived from 3 stages. The first stage is based on the information we get from the couple to know exactly what they want. The second is our artistic eyes, hard work and alertness during the wedding day. The third and final stage is the painstaking work that is done in post-production. Your photos and or videos are completely gone over in detail correcting, adjusting and enhancing. Everything is done correctly and professionally. We feel that not having all of these stages will likely result in a bad experience. So whether you choose Outer Banks Productions or not make sure you know what you are paying for because you get what you pay for. Also as a Christian owned company, we want you to know that we will be praying for our couples and guests for safe travel, a wonderful perfect sunny day and a blessed marriage.
How long and where? Doug and Michelle Haber of Outer Banks Productions are celebrating their 6th season as of 2010. We are centrally located in Nags Head, NC.
Best advice you have? Just have fun and celebrate. No matter where you are or what is going on don' t stress out. It is an awesome day no matter what. Some advise that goes hand in hand with that is hire people that know how to do their job and can take pressure off of you to enjoy yourself. Don't be afraid to ask for references. Also consider wedding insurance to account for any potential problems. This day only happens once.
What is your favorite part of the job? Working with the couples to find out exactly what they need in their photographer and or videographer. We also love helping offer information and advice on how to make the wedding day perfect!
What is your favorite place? Jockey's Ridge. This area is so special that we choose to get married there during the Hang Gliding Spectacular hang gliding competition. It was windy and cold and we still had a perfect time!
What are your favorite hobbies? Hang gliding, skiing, windsurfing, caving, hiking and spending time with our wonderful family.
What is your favorite meal? Doug: Spare ribs from Sooey's which is an Outer Banks Bar-B-Q restaurant. Michelle: Coco loco chicken with the most amazing fries in the world and black beans and rice side dish from Tortuga's in Nags Head.
