Best Advice for an OBX Wedding
Make sure you have time to relax and take in the surroundings. Stay for an extra day or two, spend time on the beach or at a nice restaurant. Give yourself time to relax at your wedding reception as well. Go ahead and pay for extra time with your photographer, have a generous plan for the phases of your event that are important to you, and work with your caterer to ensure you have plenty of time to mingle and try all the food.

Favorite Part of the Job
“Showtime.” Catering, especially off-premise, requires a lot of logistics and attention to detail. Getting prepared and loading up for an event is a daunting task. Once all the lists are checked, I’s dotted, and T’s crossed, we then transport everything to the event. Then we begin to unload and situate our goods in the most efficient manner we can in a sometimes new or unique facility. Once all this is done, and guests start to arrive, it’s “showtime.” No matter how big the event, or how tight the timeline, once production begins, and things begin to “click,” a feeling of triumph comes over us and we already know things are going to be great.

About Ocean Boulevard’s Oceanside Patio
Ocean Boulevard has an oceanside Patio perfect for small wedding ceremonies/receptions for up to 60 people right across from the beach in Kitty Hawk!

This well kept area provides the basic items necessary to accommodate a multitude of floral and decorative ideas. If you have reserved the restaurant for an evening reception, or planned your ceremony for daytime hours (noon to three o’clock), foul weather is not an issue as we can simply move your ceremony inside.
We work closely with a chair rental company who will set up and break down your guests’ seats at a competitive charge with any configuration you or your coordinator desires. Before or after the ceremony, you can simply walk less than 100 feet to the beach for those special Outer Banks wedding shots in the sand.

If you desire a beach wedding, but don’t want to worry about all the elements and possible hazards involved, check out our patio and see if it might be right for your special day.
