Our wedding professionals can assist you in planning your Outer Banks Dream Wedding. We coordinate all aspects of your special day, from announcements to the reception, within any budget. We can make your visions become a reality.

4. What sets you apart?

Marie C. Russell, President of Bordeaux Events®, has over 10 years event coordinating experience in New York City and Outer Banks area and currently lives in the Outer Banks. Ms. Russell has spent her early working years working for fashion companies such as Liz Claiborne, J.Crew & Tommy Hilfiger, planning events including fashion show coordination and corporate events. Bordeaux Events has been in the Outer Banks for 7 years and the team has planned over 200 weddings and events. The Bordeaux Events teams’ experience and dynamic abilities shine through in all of their special events, dinner parties and corporate retreats.

5. Best advice you have?

Come and visit the Outer Banks before booking anything. The Outer Banks has several distinct limitations that might not work for your wedding, so I usually urge my clients to start with a visit first, then hire a coordinator to walk you through all of the logistics of having a wedding in the Outer Banks. Even if you hire a planner for a consultation, that will help you on your way to planning a perfect wedding.

6. What is your favorite part of the job?

My relationships with the clients. I not only work for the clients, we become close friends. I have several clients that I am still in touch with several years after their wedding. I love to plan an event that is not only memorable to themselves, but to their friends, and loved ones.

7. What is your favorite place?

The beach! Everything about it sets any other beach location apart from the pristine, private and beautiful beaches of the Outer Banks.

8. What are your favorite hobbies?

I love being outside. Going to the beach, surfing, wake boarding or just reading a good book on a hammock enjoying the gorgeous weather here.

9. What is your favorite meal?

Unfortunately, as bad as I’m sure it is to my body, any fast food meal!
