Keeping Green On The Beach

Join Kirsten Lewis, the only All Green Wedding Photographer on the Outer Banks, for a fun, informative talk about how she made the transition to create an all green business, her passion for the environment and all the creative ways you too can stay eco-conscious while planning your own wedding on the beach. From bamboo dishware to donations to the Corolla Wild Horse Fund, there are countless ways you can make the environment and all it’s animals a priority while celebrating the best day of your life with the one you love the most! From DIY projects to local vendors, Kirsten will share all of her ideas on how to plan the best All Green Wedding ever.

Do-It-Yourself Flower Arrangements

Ever wonder how they make those bouquets so round and perfect? Come and see, as Dorothy shows all Brides just how Enjoyable and Rewarding a DIY Session at her studio can be. Brides and their wedding parties over the years have enjoyed getting out of their rental houses and truly taking part in the creation of the Big Day. Come see what your missing!

“Special Event Homes” – What to Know BEFORE your Wedding Day

Nannette Kallestad, owner of The Proper Setting wedding planning services, has worked in many of the special event homes used for weddings on the Outer Banks. Join her for a very helpful discussion on ways to best use the home that you have rented for your celebration, how to avoid problems, and how to make sure that you are the bride and not the manager of the logistics involved at the home. A very informative take away checklist will be provided with the workshop.

How to Personalize Your Ceremony

Your wedding day is one of the most memorable and greatest days of your lives. A time in your life that is this momentous should be personal and unique to the two of you. That ‘personalization’ can sometimes get a little lost when you are having a destination wedding and working with wedding vendors that you don’t have any sort of personal history with. This session will give you several examples of ways to ensure that your wedding ceremony is indeed personal and unique.

Timing your Big Day to have the Best Light and Photos!

In this 20 minute class you will learn tips to having the best photos throughout your wedding day! Included will be what times are the best in each season to have your ceremony, how to place your chairs so your guests and wedding party are in the best light possible and tips for lighting your reception. Defining your Signature Cocktail

Have you ever considering having a Signature drink for your cocktail hour? Argyles will offer ideas on how to choose a Signature Cocktail (and the proper glassware to use) and answer questions related to your bar including the myth of costing a full bar over just beer and wine.
