How To Submit Your Bride Story
An Outer Banks Dream Wedding Starring YOU

One of the best parts of obxBrides.com is the ability you have of sharing your wedding with the rest of the online world. It’s easy, it’s fast, and it’s a great way to help other Outer Banks brides. Here are a few simple steps to help you out.
1) Gather Your Resources.
Make sure you read over the ENTIRE submission process. There are several specific images we ask for, and if you have a wedding video online, you’ll need its web address. FYI, you don’t need to submit all the pics we request. But the more the merrier.
- 1A) Picture Sizes. Pictures to be submitted should ideally be 1200 x 800 or less than 2 megs in size. A simple way to do this is download FastStone Image Viewer (it’s 100% free), and use it to make your pics fit.
- 1B) After installation. Open the picture you want to send, hit Ctrl+R to resize, then put in 1200 for your width. It will automatically resize the height to maintain the ratio. If it’s not 800 automatically, click on the “crop board” button or from a menu, then type in 1200 for width and 800 for height. Move the crop box to where you want it and press “Crop”. Ctrl+S to save, and you’re done.
2) Navigate.
On the top navigation bar of every page, you’ll see “Submit Your Story” on the top of every page. Click it to take you to submit the details of your wedding.
3) Fill in the Blanks.
Read through the whole thing to see just what we’re looking for then fill in all of the boxes. There are a bunch of things we want you to share with us, so please don’t skip any.
4) Submit.
Once you’ve filled out the details of your Outer Banks wedding, uploaded all the pictures, and provided a link to any movie relevant, click submit at the bottom of the page.
After you hit submit, you’re done! It was that easy. Your Outer Banks wedding will be turned into a post and put on the site so other Outer Banks brides will be able to learn from your experience. Make sure you stop by to read it, and thanks for submitting it!
