Just about everyone has his or her wedding on the weekend. Weekends are great because most people are not working, but have you really sat down and weighed out the pros and cons of having a weekend wedding? Weekend weddings really are more complicated than most people think. Mid-week weddings, on the other hand, make wedding planning a lot easier, more affordable, and leave you with much more time to spend with family and friends!

Most, is not all, rental homes offer a Sunday to Sunday or Saturday to Saturday rental package. If you have your wedding on the weekend, you’ll have to rent for two weeks in order to get the house for the days you need. With a wedding during the week, you can arrive on Saturday or Sunday, have time to settle in, make last minute changes, and relax before the big day. Since you still have the rest of the week after your ceremony, you can spend time with your relatives before heading off to your honeymoon. There is no stress about hurrying to check in or out!

Suggested Preparation Plan

Saturday: Check in. Make sure your wedding planner knows you are in town, and settle down from your travels.
Sunday: You have all day to relax!
Monday: Take care of last minute shopping and planning. Make sure to get your marriage license in the beginning of the week.
Tuesday: Hair and make-up consultant! Spa and day with the girls/boys. Your guests should be arriving soon!
Wednesday: Check in on your venue and planner. Rehearsal and rehearsal dinner. The ceremony is tomorrow!
Thursday: The big day! Hair and makeup at the salon. Dress after lunch (don’t forget to eat throughout the day!) Enjoy the ceremony and reception!
Friday: Spend the day with your new life partner and your family and friends. Pre-pack and clean, as well!
Saturday: Check out by 10pm then off to your honeymoon!
